Yum Yum has been owned and operated by the Aydelette family since 1906. W. B. Aydelette, Sr. started out with a push cart and a ‘dream of ice cream’ in 1906 in downtown Greensboro. W.B. and his wife, Lenora, added the hot dogs (and 9 children!) a few years later. A cart, a horse and wagon, and two store fronts later, the Aydelettes have found just that right combination of old fashioned hot dogs and Yum Yum homemade ice cream to become one of the most beloved restaurants in North Carolina. Come by and re-visit the memories or make new memories in their store, which has been referred to as one of the most nostalgic destinations in Greensboro.
