Day 1

Start your journey at Bestway Grocery, a Greensboro icon since 1947. Step into a living piece of history, as it's believed to be the longest-running grocery store in all of Guilford County. Brace yourself for a beer lover's paradise! Bestway boasts a collection of more than 600 beers, with a spotlight on the finest brews North Carolina has to offer. 

11:00 a.m.

Have an early lunch at Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Pair the Carolina Burger with a Buckshot Amber Ale.

1:00 p.m.

Head to Bull City Ciderworks and dine at one of the rotating local food trucks. Try Orange you a Hippy Cider or a beer from local breweries that are rotated on tap.

5:00 p.m.

Take the Tap Hoppers Tour! Ride along and enjoy beer from some of Greensboro’s Microbreweries. It starts at World of Beer.

7:00 p.m.

Explore Downtown Greensboro, walk, enjoy the nightlife and breweries including Beer Co. and Little Brother Brewing. After walking downtown, grab a night cap at Beerthirty before returning to your hotel.

Day 2

Friday 4:15 p.m.

Tour the Red Oak Brewery! See lagers brewed in the Bavarian style according to the 1516 Reinheitsgebot (Purity Law), the world’s oldest consumer protection law. That means these beers contain only Bavarian malted barley, noble hops, and lager yeast. These fresh, pure lagers are unfiltered and unpasteurized for a rich, smooth taste. Tours take place on Fridays. Check-in is at 4:15pm and the tour starts promptly at 4:30pm. The tour costs $25/person and includes lager samples and a collectible glass.

Take a tour with Greensboro’s own Brew Peddlers. Grab your own beer, wine, and food and pedal along as you stop at bars and breweries throughout downtown Greensboro.
