Join neighbors, nature lovers, and community leaders for the first Friends of Haw River State Park interest meeting — an opportunity to help shape the future of one of North Carolina's most beloved State Parks. This welcoming session will introduce the vision for a Friends group dedicated to supporting Haw River State Park through volunteer stewardship, educational programming, event support, fundraising, and more. Attendees will hear from park staff about the benefits to the park and community of a strong Friends group, learn about the many ways volunteers can get involved, and participate in an open discussion about next steps.
