Things to do
Greensboro History Museum
This Smithsonian Affiliate museum shares Greensboro’s compelling history through diverse collections, engaging exhibits, educational programs and community dialogue. 17,000 square feet of award-winning exhibitions, many with hands-on interactives, highlight stories from precolonial cultures to today’s Gate City. Discover Greensboro’s part in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and its connection to U.S. history through transportation, textiles, education, civil rights and much more. This year in every part of the museum, “Project Democracy 20/20” explores history of our nation’s ongoing project, American democracy – and its best tool, the vote. FREE.
