February One Monument

 A monument dedicated to the four N.C. A&T freshmen who launched the lunch counter sit-in on Feb. 1, 1960, and all those who helped to support the movement. The sculptor of the monument, James Barnhill, was inspired by their courage to challenge the social injustice of Jim Crow laws and how the movement took hold and prevailed.
