The Mid-Eastern Regional NAWCC
The Mid-Eastern Regional of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. (NAWCC) will meet in Greensboro on October 20th to share knowledge, improve skills, and buy and sell various items related to timekeeping and its history. The event at the Greensboro Coliseum, Special Events Center is hosted by the Central Carolina Chapter of the NAWCC.
The public is invited to attend the event on Saturday October 20th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. More than 150 tables of watches, clocks, and horological tools will be available to buy, sell, and trade. Attend a presentation on Collecting and Repairing Atmos Clocks. These clocks are mechanical and run continuously on changes in barometric pressure. There are also exhibits of Atmos clocks and Antique Watches and Watch Dials.
Visitors can see the exhibit, attend any of the presentations and get a tour of the Mart Room for free. For a fee of $20 the public can buy items in the members only Mart room or they can try an introductory membership to the NAWCC for $30.00 with additional privileges. Full access for accompanied children under 18 is free.
The mission of the NAWCC is to stimulate interest in the art and science of horology and to share that interest and fascination with members and the public. Headquartered in Columbia, PA the NAWCC has over 10,000 members and includes local and worldwide hobbyists, students, educators, casual collectors, and professionals in antique clock and watch retail and manufacturing trades.
