St. Patrick’s Day Festivities
All Things Irish: Coming to a Farmers Market Near YOU!
The Greensboro Farmers Market will be filled with Irish goodies THIS Saturday, March 15! From 9am-12noon Chef Brendan (of The Worx Restaurant) and other market vendors will be serving up freshly made Irish dishes for you and your family! Some of these delicacies include Irish Stew (with lamb), Irish Soda Bread, Brisket, “bangers and mash,” locally grown produce, and more!
As you feast on these new foods, make sure your children are too! Free samples will be available while they last, and they’ll need as much energy as possible to go through The Greensboro Farmers Market’s scavenger hunt (self-guided – for kids 12 & under) to find one of the four leaf clover! The prize? The four winners will receive a St. Patrick’s Day inspired cookie from Babycakes Sweets.
What will you be doing as they’re on the hunt? Getting raffle tickets! Not only could your child win a prize, but you could also walk away with a basket full of “local goodness”. Who doesn’t love gift certificates?
If you’re looking to indulge a little and experience new things, you won’t want to miss this on Saturday morning!
The Greensboro Farmers Market is located at the corner of Yanceyville and Lindsay Avenue, across from the War Memorial Stadium at 501 Yanceyville Street.
