Guilford Courthouse National Military Park
The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park landscape encompasses the core of the battlefield where the armies of General Charles, Earl Cornwallis and General Nathanael Greene met on March 15, 1781 in one of the major Southern Campaign battles of the Revolutionary War. It is also significant for preservation and commemoration efforts beginning in the late 1800s that influenced acquisition and design of the site.
This 17-acre site features 14 plant collections, special display gardens and distinct structural features. The extensive variety of plants offers rich educational opportunities for children and adults, landscape designers, and homeowners. The garden is open year-round. Admission is free.
Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden
Known for its massive annual plantings and bronze sculpture, this 7.5-acre garden is a popular and relaxing retreat. A variety of sculpture placed throughout the garden provides artistic and historic interest, and a Paver Plaza, located at the garden's entrance, offers a way to lend your name to the garden. The garden is open year-round. Admission is free.
LeBauer Park and Center City Park
Know before you go! We’ve got the details for your visit. Center City Park and LeBauer Park are a combined 5-acre urban green space that serves as the central gathering place for Greensboro’s residents and visitors in a setting that is both relaxed and lively. Both parks are open daily, 7am - 11pm.
Eventually spanning 11 acres, Gateway Gardens provides a stunning entryway into the City of Greensboro, a playful and interactive garden, and a horticultural oasis integrating elements of history, movement, discovery, and community.
