Friday: Time to Plan Your Family Fun!
Another week down and another week of exploring all that Greensboro has to offer! I had the pleasure of going to the Greensboro Children’s Museum. What an enjoyable experience this was, even for someone like myself who is unfortunately growing up fast! Conveniently located downtown just across from the Central Library, this place has so much to offer.
Initially when someone hears “children’s museum” they may imagine something geared toward younger kids; however the Greensboro Children’s Museum absolutely appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. They pride themselves on experiential learning, which is why there are endless hands-on opportunities throughout the 33,000 square foot area! My favorite part was The Edible Schoolyard considering this involves group cooking classes for all ages, field trips, and summer camps.
It’s hard to believe, but we will actually be having a chilly winter weekend. What better to do than find some fun indoor activities?! I look forward to taking a cooking class at the Greensboro Children’s Museum with friends and I encourage you to as well. Head over to their website to find out details about exciting renovations and be sure to save the date for the 2017 Green Acres Gala- Saturday May 20th!
