Are you looking for something to do this Friday? Have you ever been to a “First Friday” in Downtown Greensboro? It’s an experience you don’t want to miss and occurs on the first Friday of every month, hence the name.

First Friday is a FREE self-guided walking tour of Downtown Greensboro’s shops, art galleries, studios, museums, and venues. The stops that choose to participate are open from 6-9 PM for First Fridays with free arts programming showcasing the local artists, musicians, and much more.

Some of the favorite stops in the past have been the theatres, cultural center, museums, and various types of shops. On First Fridays, participating locations can be recognized with a green balloon. Past entertainment has included belly dancing, pottery demonstrations, opera singing, Tai-Chi, and much more!

There is always something different to experience each month, so even if you have been a Greensboro resident for years or you are new to the area, stop by on the first Friday of any month and really get to know Greensboro.

Upcoming First Fridays include this Friday August 7 as well as September 4, October 2, November 6 and December 4.
