What we're looking forward to

We're single digits away from NC Folk Festival in Downtown Greensboro, NC. Prepare yourself with what we are looking forward to. Live Music, Dancing, Art and so much more, it's one weekend you do not want to miss. This September 7-9. 5. The Stages

Each stage brings it's own life to Downtown Greensboro. Make your plans to experience each stage as you attend the NC Folk Festival. See the schedule here. 

BCBS NC City Center Stage- This Stage kicks off the festival. Look out for artist from all over the world. Your must-sees include: Bobby Hicks, Mark Kuykendall & Asheville Bluegrass, Trio Brasileiro

The Dance Pavilion- Get your dancing shoe the Dance Pavilion will have you on your feet. Performances include: Wesil and Big Sam’s Funky Nation. This shaded tent with open dance floor is a fun for both performers and attendees. As Zizi Barhouma the Marketing Director for GreensboroArts has stated, "You will see me there, I am most excited about what's performing."

Family Stage- Bring the kids to the fun-filled family stage complete with music from Big Bang Boom- The band features talented artists and long-time musicians Chuck Folds, Steve Willard, and Eddie Walker, who write and perform songs with a pop sensibility by cleverly mixing alternative, hip-hop, rock, country, and other genres to create music that blows the roof off the Kindie Music world! Partake kid friendly activities including coloring, stickers and more.

The Wrangler Stage: See one of a kind performances as artist join together on The Wrangler Stage. Plan to see Rhiannon Giddens presents An Evening of Jazz and Spoken word and Tap on Friday Night.

4. The Makers

55 Artists & Craftspeople from North Carolina will have items to purchase. See Art, Jewerly and Handcrafted goods all from North Carolina in the makers space.

3. The Music

Banjos, Yodelers, Local artists bring in the Diverse Music. The worldly music will have you on your feet. Be on the look out for Greensboro Native- Rhiannon Giddens Curated Line-up featuring Blues, Banjos and more. See the complete lineup here and print it here.

2. The Food and Drink

Multiple diverse food trucks and local craft beer are a highlight to the weekend of nonstop fun. Not only will you hear music from all over the world, but you can taste a variety of food and beverages made locally and fresh in North Carolina. Food Trucks Musts include Ice Queen, Spanglish and The Moose Wandering Moose. Grab a glass of Beer from Foothills Brewery or Cider from Bull City Ciderworks.

It is not the folk festival with out you over 100,000 people are expected to attend and in it's inaugural year as the NC Folk Festival it will be exciting to see all in attendance. Look for us near the City Center Stage and pick up a 2018 Visitor Guide and take a selfie with us.
