Have a Sip

There is nothing is like grabbing a cup of coffee on an early brisk morning while leaves are falling. Greensboro offers plenty of coffee shops with unique experiences at each of them. Make your plans to visit one or all of them. Might I suggest listening to NC alternative band Sylvan Esso "Coffee" while grabbing a cup.

Tucked on the corner of Elam and Walker Ave Common Grounds serves beverages that are named after celebrities from Marilyn Monroe to Bill Murray not to mention wine and beer and baked goods sourced locally. The coffee is its own blend they call, Lindley Park Blend you can purchase and use to brew yourself. Common Grounds provides an active calendar of events from Live Music. The space also includes an rotating art gallery and a game room that includes an array of board games and pool. Relax and Grab Drinks at Common Grounds.

With two different locations one off Golden Gate Dr. (serving since 2014) and the other in Downtown Greensboro (serving since 2002). You cannot go wrong at Green Beans Coffee Shop serving Joe Van Gogh Coffee.

At Golden Gate Dr. you can dine in with its own in-house bakery and a full kitchen with made-to-order breakfast, sandwiches, and salads.

In Downtown Greensboro you can grab coffee as you continue to walk around Elm St. It's across the street from Design Vintage Archives and Just Be.

Serving local coffee from Carolina Coffee Roasting Company. Green Joe’s brews coffee to standards set by the Specialty Coffee Association of America. With a wide array of syrup flavors you can make your own specialty latte, though they serve there own recipes that include Chocolate Éclair flavor and seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. Check the walls from work from local artists.

“Waking up Greensboro” is how Tate Street Coffee wants to be known. Located right off UNCG Campus. They have been serving drinks since 1993. The bigger on the inside coffee shop; host plenty of events and live music. Do not be surprised to see Shakespeare readings, Jazz or traveling singer-songwriter. Be sure to sign the guest book when you arrive. Grab a warm beverage and try the Vegan and Gluten Free Options
