Fireworks, Food and Fun in Greensboro

The American Holiday in Greensboro is wonderful experience full of fireworks, family fun and more. Celebrate National Independence in the Gate City with some of these great events that will make you cheer "America!"

Fun Fourth Festival

The annual tradition celebrating 38 years takes over downtown Greensboro with over 8 blocks of fun. Live music, local artisans, family activities and entertainment. The day ends with fireworks display and performances by The Dixieland Band and Greensboro Concert Band.

4th of July in the Park

Join Joymongers Brewery and the adjacent LoFi Park starting at noon with a food truck, patio seating and views of the NewBridge Bank Park Firework show. Feel like a local and hang out, enjoy a cold local craft beer with you friends and furry companions, dog are welcome at this event.

Fireworks Show and Freedom Fest

Beat the heat and spend the day at Wet n’ Wild at Emerald Pointe it's the best place for all things summer fun. They're celebrating with an evening fireworks display and Freedom Fest. Freedom Fest will bring live music and entertainment for the whole family to the water park. Not to mention all the rides and slides that make Wet'n Wild the largest water park in the Carolina's.

Stars and Stripes Spectacular

Nothing screams Fourth of July like a baseball game. With hotdogs, 7th inning stretch and peanuts and cracker jacks.  The Greensboro Grasshopper’s delivers the classic game day experience complete with ending firework show at NewBridge Bank Park in the heart of Downtown Greensboro. See the Grasshoppers compete against the Lakewood BlueClaws. First Pitch is at 7:00pm and gates will open at 6:00pm

Apple Pie Ride

Put the fun between your legs with Apple Pie Bike Ride on July 4th.  Apple Pie Ride is named in Bicycling Magazine one of the top foodie rides in the country with proceeds benefiting the BIG (Bicycling in Greensboro). The best part of the race is the conclusion with a cookout and an all you can eat apple pie party. The bike route options include Two-Mile Spin, Apple Tree 32 miles, Apple Blossom 46 miles and Apple Pie 64 miles. All riders are encouraged to partake.  It is a rain or shine event. Registration opens at 7am and race starts at 8am.
