Are you looking for your next marathon to compete in and don’t want to travel far and wide? The Greensboro Marathon is the only marathon in the triad and it (and a half marathon) will be taking place on October 17th, 2015 for the third year in a row. The race will take place all throughout Greensboro, providing a variety of sights for participants to see along the way including lakes, hills, and the city.

If you aren’t so much a marathoner as you are just someone looking to participate, a 5k will also be available. But for the competitors, there is a 6.5 hour course time limit and the race is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The marathon will start at 8 AM, the half-marathon at 8:30 AM, and the 5k at 8:50 AM.

Registration is open now online at http://greensboromarathon.com/ and will close October 15th at 10 PM. In person registration will be available at the Race Expo on October 16th from 12 PM – 7 PM. There will be no race day registration or packet pick up.

Proceeds for this year’s marathon will go to their partner charity for 2015, Victory Junction.
