Already in the Christmas spirit? Begin your Holiday celebration at the Blandwood Mansion! Explore Blandwood to learn about evolving mid-nineteenth century holiday traditions. The mansion is fully decorated in local and period greenery, as if prepared for a grand Christmas Ball!

The Early Victorian Period in Greensboro was one of growth and change, as new educational and industrial opportunities brought a greater diversity of faiths and customs to our city. During this period, holiday customs evolved and changed as modest “backwoods” practices began to embrace national and international traditions.

Guided tours are offered during museum hours, and group tours are encouraged.

Blandwood is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Regarding Holiday hours, Blandwood will be open Christmas Eve from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and New Year’s Eve 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The house will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Monday December 26, and New Year’s Day through January 6th. The house will re-open for tours January 7th.

Normal tour hours and admission will apply.
