The Greensboro History Museum Museum shares local culture and the city’s significant role in American history, from the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in 1781, to the 1960 Greensboro Sit-Ins, the unforgettable events of September 11, 2011, and much more. Twelve galleries feature the award-winning Voices of a City exhibition, the Murphy Confederate firearms collection, First Lady Dolley Madison collection, and textile manufacturing.
