In the fun and exciting spirit of television’s The Amazing Race, Triad Stage and Downtown Greensboro, Inc. present Around Downtown in 80 Minutes – a fast and furious exploration of Downtown. The event takes place on Friday, February 5, from 7:00 pm – 8:20 pm, and begins and ends at Triad Stage.

2-person teams have just 80 minutes to visit as many Downtown “destinations” as possible, get their event passports stamped and collect valuable points along the way. On the night of Friday, February 5, teams must sign in at Triad Stage’s main lobby between 6:00 pm and 6:45 pm. There they will receive their event passport and a map listing all of the race’s “destinations” as well as instructions on how to earn bonus points throughout the race. Teams will be released from Triad Stage at 7:00 pm and have 80 minutes to visit “destinations” and collect as many points as possible on foot. “Destinations” are worth different point values and an Around Downtown in 80 Minutes “travel agent” will be stationed at each “destination” to stamp the teams’ passports as proof of their visitation. The race is over at 8:20 pm, when all teams must return to Triad Stage for a post-race party with drinks, appetizers and raffle drawings as the judges tally the results. At 9:00 pm the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced.
