November 3, 2009 - Downtown Greensboro’s First Annual Italian Festival! Greensboro CVB

Greensboro has a new cultural festival in downtown happening in just a few weeks. Sunday, November 8, 2009, 3 dog productions hosts the First Annual Festivale Italiano in the 300 block of South Elm Street. South Elm will be closed to traffic at Washington and McGee Streets. The festival will cover the block with fun, entertainment, food, wine and games from noon until 6pm.

Gran Fondo, a cycling event known as “the big ride”, will start at 10am on the corner of South Elm and Washington Streets. It will feature 62 mile, 30 mile, and 15 mile routes through the Greensboro area. Riders will add to the excitement of the Festivale Italiano as they cross the finish line during the festival!

Restaurants and vendors from across the area will participate as will local students who will provide the entertainment. Cheesecakes by Alex and Riva’s Trattoria will anchor the food areas complimented by Wine Warehouse and Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Tracy Lamothe, owner of Riva’s Trattoria, says “We should celebrate the Italian culture with a festival – it’s great to have it in downtown Greensboro!”

3 dog productions is a locally owned company that is devoted to the concept of providing promotional and fundraising services to individuals, professional and non-profit organizations. Robin Lindsey and Pam Foxx have been involved in the Greensboro community both professionally and as volunteers for more than 20 years. Both Robin and Pam have extensive backgrounds in event planning and management, fundraising, corporate planning, and marketing. “Greensboro is home to me and my family. The cultural growth of our community is very important to me both professionally and personally. We are proud that 3 dog productions is hosting the first annual Italian Cultural Festival in downtown Greensboro!” says Robin Lindsey.
