What:

This is a free exhibition and open to the public. GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art is thrilled to announce LEAP: Artists Imagine Outer Space, its 2024 headline exhibition running from March 16 to June 29. This ambitious exhibition features exceptional artists who create projected light and sound installations, fiber art, and animation as well as photography, sculpture, painting and printmaking. The theme of the exhibition embraces both science and new media and will highlight the state’s dynamic design community. Futuristic outposts, fictional persona, and narratives of time travel speak to the role ingenuity and innovation play in the arts and inspire audiences to contemplate our place in the universe.

Educational components including STEAM-based curriculum during school tours, anime workshops for teens, and pop-up exhibitions by student artists from area colleges and universities will enhance the learning experience for audiences.
